Oddly generic.
It's...interesting, to a point. I'll forgive the "screamer" moments, because there's only so much you can do with Flash, but on the whole, it wasn't really that engaging--the surreality/creepiness felt generic, which really hurt the overall impression. When I noticed that you could forgo the weapon completely, I was hoping that you'd be able to get different outcomes--nope, weapon required to beat the boss. Honestly, not the brightest move there. :|
I will say that I had no problem adapting to the controls, and I didn't have a problem with the keys. Whenever I died and a key dropped in a kill zone, it would respawn on me once I'd reached the general vicinity of the key. The only irritation I had was a point on the last level where you had to land on one of those pushable blocks in a kill-pond; why the hell are the push-blocks so slippery? Seriously, it took 6 tries to not immediately fall off with a single nudge of movement.

Excellent
This is a really good platformer, and the story is surprisingly compelling. My favorite part, though, is the music--the music that plays when you get the treasure reminds me a lot of the music that plays when you find Vigil in Mass Effect, and your is just as haunting. Well done.
Super Mario Crossover

Excellent!
This is outstanding work. Every single one of the characters plays just like they do in their respective games, and each brings a new experience to the Mario worlds. Samus is a little OP, but that's to be expected of Samus.
I would love to see a crossover of Super Mario World with the SNES versions of the characters here--mmm, Speed Boosting through the EXTRA levels...

Good, but leaves the listener hanging.
Amazing intro, falls off a bit, and then picks up at around 2min. I'm wondering, though, why you decided to simply fade it out at the end--it feels much more like a dramatic lull, waiting for a huge finishing section to bring it home. Being left hanging like that is disappointing. :(
The section around 2min is supposed to be the big finale, though I understand where you are coming from. I still want to work on mastering this song because I feel that there is always room for improvement. I'll take your review into consideration if I come around to working on this song again. Thank you for the detailed review. I appreciate it.

Splendid.
Excellent work; first thing I've downloaded off of Newgrounds in quite a while. Very bittersweet sound, with a heavy undercurrent of sad. Reminds me quite a bit of "Sadja's Soul" (another song on the Portal) but slower and more reserved.
Also, this loops phenomenally well--was that intentional? Props if it was, means I can keep this going while I read.
Thank you! I'm really glad that you like it. Answering your question: I basically wanted to end this song with what I started with. In the description, I mentioned a "pyramid kind of song" which builds up to a peak and reverses to an ending. Luckily, that made the song loop better. Thanks again for the review!

Phenomenal!
I'm not really sure what else to say--this piece is both haunting and powerful, and the robot's voice gives the song that power. Beautifully written and and performed.
Thanks for the kind words. I hope you can enjoy this song more than once! Download it, and put it on your ipod. The number that means the most to me is how many times my songs get downloaded. Check out some of my other stuff if you get around to it, too!

Seriously, this is pretty wacked out. Great animation, though. Would watch again (coincidentally, that's what I've been doing for the past hour. :| )

Interesting.
Interesting premise, and well executed considering this work's age. The music was a little distracting (something more reserved would have added much more), but it got the job done. This would be something definitely worth expanding on--not necessarily a series, more likely a longer, more involved piece.
